Description:

The C.N.A. provides basic, effective nursing care to residents in the Health Care Unit under the direction of the Charge Nurse and with the supervision of the Director of Nursing. Nurse Aides will assist with activities of daily living which may include dressing, grooming, hygiene, eating, hydration, and mobility. All aides will provide nursing care with respect and compassion while promoting the individuality and comfort of all residents.  We are seeking candidates with the desire and willingness to work in a collaborative environment for the improved care and satisfaction of our residents. 
 
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Holds a current valid CA Nurse Assistant Certification.
Minimum of 1 year experience in an approved skilled nursing facility preferred.
Must have good communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with residents, families, and visitors in a professional manner.
 
Requirements:
Criminal record clearance with DOJ and FBI.
Physical assessment with negative drug screen and negative TB test.
Physically healthy and strong enough to push, pull, or lift supplies or equipment.
Ability to use Hoyer lift to move and support residents

This position will work directly for our Director of Nursing and is responsible to oversee and coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and Minimum Data Set (MDS) process. You must be able to work with residents, their families, staff, and the public on a personal basis under all conditions. This key position is responsible for resident assessments and care plans in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the MDS process. The Friends House Bus Driver is tasked with providing safe transportation and exceptional customer service to our residents and will report to our Resident Services Director.  The driver will have a good working knowledge of the Santa Rosa area and may occasionally be called upon to transport a resident to the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is also tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of the two company vehicles plus pre-trip safety inspections. Qualifications:

  • Holds and maintains a current Commercial Driver License, class B with Passenger Endorsement.
  • Driver must be 25 years of age or older
  • Must have at least 5 years driving experience

  • Experience and knowledge of transferring residents to/from wheelchairs
  • Must have DMV print of clean driving record
  • Must be able to read and speak English
