Friends House is looking for a Director of Staff Development who will be responsible for the clinical education of the staff of this facility. The DSD is responsible for orientation and training of nursing staff and participates in orientation of ancillary staff as appropriate. The DSD will develop, implement, and present the education programs of the facility. The DSD is responsible for the Infection Control program at Friends House. The Friends House Bus Driver is tasked with providing safe transportation and exceptional customer service to our residents and will report to our Resident Services Director. The driver will have a good working knowledge of the Santa Rosa area and may occasionally be called upon to transport a resident to the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is also tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of the two company vehicles plus pre-trip safety inspections. The Resident Services Director (RSD) provides case management services to apartment residents and administration supervision of the assisted living facility. This position is responsible for directing, controlling, managing and effectively assuring that systems are in place to provide for residents in these two service centers as needs arise and change. You will develop, implement and supervise resident care systems to help residents maintain their highest degree of function and independence while assuring that resident care and services meet acceptable standards and regulatory requirements. This Director is responsible for staffing issues, evaluating performance, conflict resolution, hiring, training, and disciplinary action in accord with the Human Resource Department.
Qualifications, Training and Experience
The applicant should have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an Assisted Living setting with an RCFE Administrator’s license. Candidate will possess knowledge of Title 22 regulations governing residential care facilities for the elderly in California. Clinical experience in nursing, case management, or social work is preferred.
